This logo with a bee was created by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and it identifies a system of production that respects the environment by reducing the use of chemicals, pesticides and fertiliser. By minimising the use of such products, our winery aims at safeguarding its customers\u2019 and workers\u2019 health. The Friuli Venezia Giulia region is in charge of monitoring that the SQNPI certification\u2019s requirements are met.\nThe SQNPI certification acts as a guarantee towards our customers that our products\u2019 quality is far superior than the markets\u2019 standards.
\nNowadays, consumers are much more careful when it comes to environmental issues and we, as wine-growers ,have to ask ourselves whether we are paying enough attention to such topic. In fact, vineyards represent 3% of all the agricultural land of the EU, but use about 65% of all the fungicide used in agriculture in the EU (68\u2019000 tonnes every year).
\nAzienda Conte d\u2019Attimis-Maniago has been using low environmental impact approaches for many years now, but it has become especially important for us to certify such practices. This is especially true considering how many wineries now market their products as \u201cbio-something\u201d (biological, biodynamic, \u2026 ) but do no offer any proof to the consumer.
\nSQNPI certification requires a double check, both in the vineyard and in the winery, during the transformation process. Our adherence to policy documents written by the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, are rigorously checked by third-parties appointed by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
\nWe have been implementing these procedural guidelines since 2016 and, since then, our bottles proudly display the SQNPI logo which shows how much we respect and value the environment.<\/p>\n
