Annuario
dei migliori vini italiani
Note
from the producer
Tazzelenghe is an autochthonous vine typical
of the Buttrio area. It used to be one
of a myriad of old varieties now almost
entirely disappeared. A wine making culture
more keen now than in the past to make
the most of different vine characteristics
has made possible to recover it and change
its image of excessively hard wine, now
persisting in the name only, a combination
of the dialect words “tazze”
(to cut) and “lenghe” (tongue).
Our dedication and commitment allowed
us to obtain a red wine designed to be
aged, according to the vine natural vocation.
Alberto d’Attimis-Maniago
TAZZELENGHE
2002
Sensations: superior denseness and concentration,
it is quite rare to find this variety
presenting itself with so much smoothness
and integrity. With a purplishblackish
colour, it contributes from the moment
it is first smelled some well balanced
notes, gently bound to the roundness and
balsamic character of oak. Spices are
never overdone, always balanced in referring
to a ripe, firm fruit flesh. Excellent,
neat transformation, lively residual oxidation
fragrance: cassis turgor turning into
intensity today, and durability becoming
an ever round and fleshy tomorrow.

Excellent denseness for Conte d’Attimis
Maniago Whites. These are wines that,
once developed with further integrity
and fullness, will peak with their very
high extract to absolute quality. 2003
Ronco Broilo: a pigment free red with
an impressive glycerol content. A viscosity
that powerfully abounds in the sweet wines,
especially the 2004 Picolit. Well appreciated
suppleness and fragrance for the Spumante
Brut Ribula. Exceptionally vigorous power
in the balsamic Pignolo 2003 and Tazzelenghe
2002: a smooth and minty champion well
deserving a place in the Best Wines Yearbook.
Congratulations. |
